My family portrait

I don't like to paint oil for simple reason that I do not like smell of turpentine and hate cleaning brushes. I hhave hardly used oils in my life but when I had to paint my own family then oil was only option :). this forgiving medium is obvious choice when you have to paint 3 faces

A delightful family portrait.
I understand your choice of oils for this, but I think you could have done them justice in any medium. Congrats, this is wonderful.

Ajay, that is a lovable family portrait you have created.. it gives such a wonderful feeling when you look at it, whenever I see a family portrait, it touches something deep inside my heart and this was no exception!

Mineke, Padmaja- thanks for liking the painting. I am not good at portarits and your comments do give required courage to attempt such paintings

For someone who doesn't like oils, this is jolly good Ajay! But I do think you should also try it in your medium of choice - I think you would do the family portrait justice in watercolour as well!

Liz, I will try this in watercolors someday, before that I plan to do few head studies from life.
