big tree

I always wanted to paint this perticular location as found this tree growth very attractive ,could not do so as this one is at cross roads and very dificult to sit and paint there. Finally few months back I pulled my car to one side of the road and started painting. The road was not empty as you would think looking at painting .I survived all the dust and smoke -can say this is one of the most dificult painting in that sense :)

Great job with a difficult subject.

The tree looks difficult otherwise also. Good job.

considering that you had to paint it in a difficult fix, it's a fairly good outcome.
Would have liked more 'lights and shadows' as you usually do. Not sure, if it was cloudy out there.

William- long time :),thanks
Prabal,PC thnaks- I am not sure if it was cloudy but yes more light and shadow would have helped. I tried to keep foreground houselike strcuture colors lighter to emphasize on tree here.

Hmmm... I cant offer professional comments.... but the way u hv done the tree makes it clear why u wanted to bring it on paper so desperately. Was it a banyan tree?

The painting looks much better in the smaller scale!

Thanks Sandeep- yes its banyan tree

Thanks for your visit.
I like very much the sensitivity of the outlines in the trees.
